Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to drive operations and guest satisfaction. You’ll lead by example, work side-by-side with the team, and step in for management when needed in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to lead by doing—not just directing.
• Comfort using POS systems and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
