Job summary

Five Guys in Austin, TX is seeking a seasoned Shift Leader to guide daily operations on a fast-paced, guest‑first shift. You’ll work side‑by‑side with your team, set the tone, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied.

With 1–2 years in restaurant or hospitality and strong communication, you’ll coach crew, handle cash and POS tasks, and help train new teammates. This role offers growth opportunities and competitive pay starting at $14.50/hour plus tips and bonus.

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred)
• A team-first mindset with strong communicationskills

• Basic math and comfort using POS systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and step in to run operations when management isn’t on site
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room—no task is too small
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience every time
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports
