Job summary

Five Guys Operations LLC in Bolingbrook, IL is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations on the floor, lead by example, and ensure every guest leaves impressed with fast, friendly service.

You'll rotate through roles from cashier to grill, coach crew members, and help train new staff while maintaining cleanliness, safety, and brand standards. The position starts at $17.00–$19.00 per hour plus tips and bonus.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset.
• Ability to stay calm and make fast, accurate decisions in a busy setting.
• Comfort with basic math and using a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn't on site.
• Perform any station as needed (cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room).
• Deliver fast, accurate service and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Coach and motivate crew; train new team members.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
