Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader who will be a hands-on leader on each shift, setting the tone and guiding the team. You’ll rotate through cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room duties to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

The role emphasizes leading by doing, coaching crew members, and maintaining brand standards in a fast-paced environment. Growth opportunities exist as many leaders advance to higher roles.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience with leadership preferred.
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by example and makes decisions in fast-paced environments.
• Comfort with basic math and POS system usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, and dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and a great guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and uphold brand standards.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and compliant with policies.
• Manage shifts, breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
