Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to supervise and run operations on a busy shift in Houston. You’ll lead by example, jump into every station, and ensure fast, friendly service that leaves guests impressed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or hospitality experience, leadership preferred.
• Team-first mindset with strong communication skills.
• Leads by doing, not just directing.
• Ability to stay cool and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.
• Food safety certification (such as ServSafe) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room roles as needed.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
