Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Shift Leader to work with the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager to ensure top-notch guest experiences and high-quality cakes.

You will lead the team, coach staff, and help drive daily operations, sales, and profitability while upholding NbC standards. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays is required, with opportunities for advancement within a growing brand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college credits a plus.
• 1–3 years guest-facing retail/food service experience.
• Experience coaching and developing team members to meet goals.
• Comfort learning new technologies and basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead with the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager to ensure high-quality cakes and guest experience.
• Coach and train team members; direct the work of others to meet productivity goals.
• Drive day-to-day bakery operations in line with NbC standards and sales targets.
• Collaborate with bakery management to support promotions and profitability.

The Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) Shift Leader works alongside the Assistant Bakery Manager and Bakery Manager and team members to create the highest-quality cakes, a warm, welcoming environment, and superior guest experience. The Shift Leader shares in team leadership and collaborates with the bakery management in driving sales and profitability, executing day-to-day responsibilities and ensuring that all aspects of the bakery operation comply with NbC standards. Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.

Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.
