Job summary

MOD Pizza, Inc. is seeking a Restaurant Shift Supervisor for Tempe Marketplace, AZ. You will lead restaurant operations during shifts, train new hires, and ensure guests have an outstanding experience.

This role emphasizes leadership, deployment of the squad, adherence to standards, and collaboration with the GM to deliver MOD values. You must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week and maintain high service quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service or restaurant experience.
• Proven ability to mentor, train or lead informally.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Follow and enforce processes and standards; coach compassionately.
• Calm presence in high-volume periods.
• Obtain food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days where required.
• Proficient in written and oral communication.
• Able to work a minimum of 3 shifts and 18 hours per week, including peak hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift to ensure a welcoming, smooth, clean and organized restaurant; uphold MOD standards.
• Train newly hired/promoted squad and support new programs and initiatives.
• Ensure operating systems and equipment are maintained for goals; include online ordering and catering.
• Use MOD tools and standards to ensure safe food handling in Back and Front of House.
• Address squad member and guest concerns; escalate issues to AM/GM as needed.
• Manage cash within the shift, including making change and refunds.
• Take inventory and place orders with GM support.
• Adhere to opening/midday/closing checklists and utilize tools to execute duties.
• Review emails for updates from Slice and other sources to support the squad.
