Community Housing Innovations in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Shelter Operations Coordinator to oversee daily shelter operations, ensure residents' safety and adherence to program rules, and manage supervision of shift supervisors and residential aides.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Bachelor's in a social services field, at least four years in social services with two years in supervision, strong English communication, licensing readiness, and budgeting ability.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's in a social service field preferred.
• Minimum four years in social services with at least two years in a supervisor role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; multilingualism prioritized.
• Ability to obtain NYS license (F80) within 60 days and NYS Food Handlers certificate within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shelter operations and ensure safety and adherence to rules.
• Supervise shift supervisors and residential aides; manage performance reviews.
• Maintain records in Paycom; ensure compliance with regulations and safety protocols.
• Supervise residents' daily activities and provide guidance and support.
• Prepare periodic reports and assist leadership with operational improvements.
