Job summary

CAMBA is seeking a Shift Supervisor in Brooklyn, NY to oversee on-site shelter operations and ensure high-quality client services. You will supervise staff, maintain security, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced shelter environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, 4 years of related experience, and proficiency with MS Office. Bi-lingual candidates and CARES knowledge are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of applicable experience.
• Computer literacy in MS Office and other basic office technology.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• CARES knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and protect client confidentiality.
• Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities for suspected child abuse per NYS law and CAMBA policy.
• Follow Universal Precautions and standard procedures.
• Ensure compliance with DHS, NYS OTDA, NYC FDNY and CAMBA security policies.
• Be the primary on-site contact for DHS, emergency responders and visitors.
• Oversee on-site staff and ensure proper staffing, program operations and client services.
• Ensure timely intake and proper handling of client mail per CAMBA policy.
• Remain on-site to provide supervision during shifts when on-site coverage is required.
