Job summary

Care For the Homeless is seeking an Operations Coordinator in New York to oversee the shelter facility's operations, safety, and maintenance. You will supervise staff and vendors, coordinate coverage for all shifts, and ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and other agencies.

You will work with the Shelter Director to meet contractual obligations and develop programmatic reports and proposals for senior management consideration.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years facilities management experience, preferably in a residential facility.
• Fire Safety Certification is a Plus.
• OSHA Certification preferred
• Valid Driver License, if authorized to drive agency vehicle
• Knowledge of operating related equipment, tools, and materials used in the facility
• Proficiency in software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure the overall operational, safety, and maintenance of the shelter facility.
• Provide operational supervision of facility staff and vendors.
• Secure coverage for all shifts when needed.
• Collaborate with Shelter Director to meet contractual obligations.
• Develop and report programmatic information to senior management.
• Oversee procurement, inventory, and expenditures procedures.
• Maintain OSHA and other regulatory compliance across facilities.
