Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Service Coordinator to manage daily shelter operations, supervise shift staff, and ensure a secure, supportive environment for residents in Midtown Manhattan. You will lead team meetings, monitor program adherence, and handle administrative tasks critical to success.

The role requires a HS diploma, 4+ years in social services with 2+ years in supervision, and strong English communication. Hours are 8am-4pm, with on-call coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Education and experience required: HS diploma or GED; Bachelor’s in social services preferred; 4+ years in social services with 2+ years in a supervisor role.
• Must have strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities preferred.
• F80 license or ability to obtain within 60 days; NYS Food Handlers Certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily shelter operations and supervise shift supervisors and residential aides.
• Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to review performance and provide feedback.
• Update performance goals and records in Paycom weekly or bi-weekly.
• Ensure operational compliance and safety protocols within the facility.
• Oversee sign-in/out process and maintain resident whereabouts records.
• Coordinate staff schedules and ensure coverage for all shifts.
• Support recruitment, training, and supervision of shelter staff.
• Participate in regular meetings with program leadership to discuss operations.
