Job summary

CAMBA in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Shift Supervisor to oversee shelter operations, ensure client safety, and maintain regulatory compliance. You will manage on-site staff, coordinate with DHS and other agencies, and ensure accurate reporting and documentation throughout your shift.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, four years of applicable experience, and proficiency with MS Office; bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum four years of applicable experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and basic office technology.
• Bi-lingual (English plus another language) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain professional relationships with clients and protect confidentiality.
• Fulfill mandated reporter responsibilities in accordance with NYS law and CAMBA policies.
• Provide on-site supervision and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee attendance, headcounts, and reporting; escalate issues promptly.
• Coordinate with DHS, emergency responders and visitors when on-site.
• Ensure program operations, client services and staff coverage are maintained.
