BHRAGS is seeking a Shift Supervisor in Brooklyn, NY to support the Program Director and oversee shelter operations. This role requires coordination with staff, incident response, and ensuring daily census accuracy.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or relevant experience with homeless families, strong communication, and bilingual abilities. Healthcare and safety procedures knowledge are essential for this position.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree and/or at least one year of experience with homeless families and/or residential services preferred.
• Associate’s degree and/or at least two years of experience with homeless families and/or residential services preferred.
• High School Diploma or at least 3 years of experience with homeless families and/or residential services preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the shelter Program Director in planning and implementing new procedures.
• Attend agency meetings and represent the agency.
• Ensure incident reporting is thorough and timely in the Program Director's absence.
• Assist in referrals and resolving resident/staff issues.
• Monitor staff and assign tasks as needed.
• Utilize CPR/First Aid and Narcan in emergencies and follow OSHA standards.
• Monitor safety equipment and facility conditions.
• Assist with client intakes and approvals.
• Maintain daily census and update CARES and rosters.
• Respond to incidents and crisis situations; document actions.
• Manage coverage for unscheduled absences and emergencies.
• Invigilate common areas to ensure rule compliance.
• Perform routine room and facility inspections for safety.
