Job summary

Care for the Homeless is seeking an Operations Coordinator to work closely with the Shelter Director to supervise daily operations, safety, and maintenance of the shelter facility. You will oversee staff, external vendors, and ensure coverage for all shifts while aligning with contractual obligations.

Responsibilities include coordinating inventory, reporting, compliance with OSHA and city/state regulations, and developing operational policies.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years facilities management experience, preferably in a residential facility.
• Fire Safety Certification is a Plus.
• OSHA Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver License, if authorized to drive agency vehicle.
• Knowledge of operating related equipment, tools, and materials used in the facility.
• Knowledge of city, state, and federal building codes and industry standards.
• Proficiency in software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and ensure the operational, safety, and maintenance of the shelter facility.
• Provide supervision of facility staff and oversee external vendors.
• Ensure coverage for all shifts when needed.
• Collaborate with the Shelter Director to meet goals per contractual obligations.
• Develop programmatic reports and proposals with senior management.
• Coordinate inventory procurement and expenditures procedures.
• Ensure OSHA, DHS, OTDA regulations and guidelines are followed.
