Job summary

Kleo Community Life Center seeks a Shelter Support Supervisor to provide daily leadership, oversee operations, and coordinate floor activities in a care-focused shelter environment. You will manage Shelter Support Attendants and Sanitation Attendants, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance with agency standards.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating schedules, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with partners to support resident welfare.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in an emergency shelter, residential housing, or social services environment.
• Proven leadership ability and strong verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and assign daily operational duties to Shelter Support Attendants and Sanitation Attendants.
• Conduct pre-shift huddles and shift debriefs outlining priorities and updates.
• Monitor staff task execution and provide real-time coaching.
• Review timesheets and leave requests to maintain shift coverage.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and annual performance evaluations.
• Conduct daily census verifications and bed counts.
• Collaborate with Housing and Case Management Supervisors on bed census data.
• Direct intake, storage, and distribution of meals, linens, and supplies.
• Maintain shift logs, incident records, and grievance reports.
• Act as on-site liaison with municipal partners and service providers.
• Attend meetings and trainings as directed.
• Ensure compliance with health codes and agency protocols.
• Complete incident reports within 24 hours.
• Lead crisis de-escalation and trauma-informed interventions.
