Job summary

Las Vegas Rescue Mission is seeking a Shelter Coordinator to join our Shelter Department. The role supports overnight guests with emergency housing needs and connects them to welfare and social services, while maintaining dorm safety and coordinating with staff, volunteers, and donors.

Responsibilities include daily intake coordination, crisis response, agency networking, and providing basic needs, medication management, and preventive services.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Experience with HMIS an asset.
• Experience with group facilitation an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily intake processes for shelter guests.
• Handle crisis situations to ensure safety.
• Network with outside agencies to assist guests.
• Provide medication management and preventive services.
• Facilitate group sessions.
