Job summary

WeHOPE is seeking a Residential Services Coordinator to supervise homeless/unhoused clients at Coast House, ensuring safety, adherence to shelter rules, and clean, secure facilities. You’ll oversee intake, laundry, meals, and daily operations, while maintaining detailed records and coordinating with leadership.

Ideal candidates will have shelter experience, CPR/First Aid training, strong communication skills, and the ability to de-escalate tense situations.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a shelter or organization serving disenfranchised populations.
• Guard Card Training, CPR/First Aid, and Custodial Technician Training are required.
• Effective team player with honesty and non-judgmental attitude.
• Typing and data entry skills are preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding systemic issues affecting low-income marginalized people.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support clients; assess well-being and safety.
• Orient new arrivals to shelter protocols and policies.
• Provide crisis management and de-escalation as needed.
• Supervise chores, meals, laundry, and living spaces; manage intake/discharges.
• Complete incident reports and communicate with Program Director.
• Maintain clean, sanitized living environment and document supply needs.
