Job summary

S:US is hiring a Program Coordinator for a women’s shelter in Manhattan, located at West 135 Street, NY 10030. The role oversees daily program operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and supervises social work staff and housing specialists.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in human services or a related field, with 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a shelter setting. Some weekend/evening hours are required. S:US offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the human services field is required.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience in a large shelter or residential facility that provides comprehensive social services, housing placement, and job skills training to the homeless, mentally ill, and chemically dependent populations.
• A work schedule that includes some weekend and evening hours will be required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, organizes, directs, and oversees the provision of all clinical services.
• Provides supervisory oversight and training to the Social Workers, Case Managers and Housing Specialist.
• Coordinates services/case management and referrals for job skills training, education, and employment as well as recovery and housing support.
