Job summary

S:US is seeking a Program Coordinator for their women's shelter in Manhattan, located at West 135 Street NY 10030. The role manages daily program operations, ensures regulatory and contractual compliance with DHS requirements, and provides leadership to social workers, case managers and housing staff.

You will plan services, supervise staff, coordinate with housing and job-skills partners, monitor census and outcomes, and develop groups to promote recovery and independent living.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human services required.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience in a large shelter or residential facility.
• Work schedule includes some weekend and evening hours.

Responsibilities

• Plans, schedules, organizes, directs, and oversees the provision of all clinical services.
• Provides supervisory oversight and training to Social Workers, Case Managers and Housing Specialist.
• Ensures collaboration between Case Managers, Entitlements Specialists, Social Workers and Housing Specialist.
• Monitors daily census reports.
• Develops groups, workshops, and recreational activities to foster self-sufficiency and wellness.
• Monitors and oversees assignments of caseloads, housing and job placements, and referrals.
• Monitors documentation for quality and timely completion and develops Individual Living Plans.
