Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a ServiceNow Platform Security Architect with a primary focus on security to define and drive the enterprise security architecture, standards, and governance of the ServiceNow platform. You will partner with Identity Management, Cybersecurity, Risk, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure secure, compliant, and scalable solutions.

The role covers IAM, authentication, authorization, privileged access, API security, and platform hardening, with responsibility for

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience, including ServiceNow architecture and security.
• 5+ years as a ServiceNow Architect in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of ServiceNow ACLs, roles, and security best practices.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with identity providers using SAML, OAuth, SCIM, or LDAP.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain ServiceNow platform security architecture, standards, and governance.
• Define standards for identity, authentication, and access management; drive least privilege and access reviews.
• Establish ACL and authorization models with secure patterns.
• Define privileged access controls and credential-management patterns.
• Ensure secure patterns for REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, and app security.
• Lead secure engineering practices and platform hardening initiatives.
• Oversee security during upgrades, patches, and releases.
• Support audits and regulatory compliance programs.
