Job summary

Abbott is seeking a ServiceNow Platform Architect to provide technical leadership for our ServiceNow ecosystem in the United States. You will align platform capabilities with business priorities and drive governance, innovation, and best practices across the organization.

You will lead the Platform Support Team, perform architectural analyses, guide new enhancements, and participate in governance processes while collaborating with development teams and partners.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or 13+ years of relevant experience.
• 8+ years of experience in information technology.
• 4+ years of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL frameworks.
• Strong expertise in ServiceNow architecture, platform security, and governance.
• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow ITSM modules (incident, problem, change, CMDB, discovery, asset management).
• Experience with ServiceNow system administration and/or application development.
• Knowledge of ServiceNow data modeling, database schemas, and CSDM.
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with third‑party tools (web services, SOAP, email, MID servers, etc.).
• Familiarity with middleware and discovery technologies.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a comprehensive view of the current ServiceNow architecture.
• Align platform capabilities with business strategy and the ServiceNow roadmap.
• Lead the Platform Support Team in adopting technical best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct architectural analysis and assess impacts of new requirements.
• Guide and participate in the implementation of new platform enhancements.
• Contribute to governance processes, including design review boards and steering committees.
• Develop detailed technical solutions and documentation in collaboration with development teams and partners.
• Lead technology evaluations, proofs of concept, and solution validations.
• Oversee platform operations, service portfolio management, and demand management activities.
• Stay current on ServiceNow advancements and relevant integrated technologies.
