Job summary

The State Corporation Commission (SCC) seeks a skilled ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable solutions on the ServiceNow platform, with emphasis on secure integrations and ITSM processes.

You will work in a hybrid Richmond, VA environment, collaborating with product owners and support teams to translate requirements into robust, user-friendly solutions while adhering to security and release-management practices.

Qualifications

ServiceNow development and configuration experience across ITSM modules.
Proficient JavaScript scripting on client and server sides in ServiceNow.
Experience with API integration design, security, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on work with REST, SOAP, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, logging and monitoring.
Strong knowledge of ITSM processes and ServiceNow modules.
Experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, Service Catalog, ACLs, and automated testing.
Understanding of CMDB data models, tables, and reference relationships.
Designing user-centered, accessible, secure, maintainable solutions.
Experience with testing, code reviews, and release-management practices.
Analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
Collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience with Employee Center, Service Portal, UI Builder, configurable workspaces.
Familiarity with ServiceNow AI features (Now Assist, AI Search, etc.).
Experience with enterprise integrations and ITIL/CIS-ITSM certifications.
Knowledge of other ServiceNow domains (ITOM, CSM, HRSD, IRM/GRC, App Engine).
Experience with automated deployment pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements.
Build secure integrations using REST, SOAP, webhooks, Integration Hub and related tech.
Develop scripted REST APIs, business rules, client scripts, UI policies and Flow Designer workflows.
Configure and extend ITSM capabilities: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog, CMDB.
Create intuitive experiences across Employee Center, Service Portal, workspaces, forms, catalogs, and mobile.
Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Troubleshoot complex platform, integration, data, and performance issues.
Apply development standards, security controls, automated testing, code review, source control, release-management.
Develop reusable components and documentation; support upgrades and AI opportunities.
