DataStaff, Inc. is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable solutions across the ServiceNow platform in Richmond, VA.

This long-term contract role emphasizes secure API integrations, custom development, and superior user experiences within ITSM. The ideal candidate has hands-on ServiceNow development experience, knowledge of REST/SOAP, Integration Hub, Flow Designer, and CMDB, and can collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical

Qualifications

Our client seeks 4+ years of ServiceNow development and configuration.
2+ years of API integration design, security, and troubleshooting.
2+ years of REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, OAuth 2.0, logging and monitoring.
2+ years of ServiceNow ITSM processes and modules.
2+ years of Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and ACLs.
2+ years of CMDB data models and relationships.
2+ years of user-centered, accessible, and secure design.
3+ years of analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements
Build secure, reliable integrations using REST, SOAP, webhooks, Integration Hub, MID Server, and related technologies
Develop scripted REST APIs, business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, and Flow Designer workflows
Configure and extend ITSM capabilities, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and CMDB
Create intuitive, accessible experiences across Employee Center, Service Portal, workspaces, forms, catalogs, and mobile
Partner with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and support teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
Troubleshoot complex platform, integration, data, and performance issues
Apply development standards, security controls, automated testing, code review, source control, and release-management practices
Develop reusable components and documentation; support upgrades and releases; and evaluate AI and automation opportunities.
