Job summary

Stellar Professionals LLC seeks an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise solutions on the ServiceNow platform for SCC. Focus areas include API integrations, custom application development, ITSM enhancements, Service Portal experiences, and AI capabilities such as Now Assist and Virtual Agent.

Location: Richmond, VA 23218 (Hybrid: Onsite 3 days/week). Contract role for 12 months with web cam interviews only. Remote work not indicated.

Qualifications

• 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development, platform architecture, and custom configuration.
• 3 years in JavaScript (client/server) and 2 years designing secure API integrations (REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0).
• 2 years managing ITSM processes, CMDB relationships, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and IntegrationHub.
• 2 years designing accessible solutions on Employee Center, Service Portal, and UI Builder workspaces.
• 2 years of experience with ServiceNow AI solutions (Now Assist, Generative AI, Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, or AI Search).
• 2 years applying automated testing, source control, and release management; CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, or ITIL certifications.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and optimize enterprise solutions across the ServiceNow platform for the State Corporation Commission (SCC). This role focuses on API integrations, custom application development, ITSM enhancements, Service Portal experience design, and artificial intelligence capabilities (Now Assist, Virtual Agent).

• Location: Richmond, VA 23218 (Local Richmond candidates preferred)
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week)

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Development & Scripting: Design, build, and maintain custom ServiceNow applications using JavaScript, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and Flow Designer workflows.
• Secure Integrations: Develop REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and IntegrationHub connectors utilizing OAuth 2.0, MID Servers, and JSON/XML data formats.
• ITSM & Service Portal: Configure and extend ITSM modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Request, CMDB) and craft intuitive interfaces on Employee Center, Service Portal, and configurable workspaces.
• Platform Security & AI Capabilities: Implement Access Control Lists (ACLs), automated testing, and release management; evaluate and implement ServiceNow AI solutions (Now Assist, Predictive Intelligence, AI Search, Virtual Agent).
• Governance & Delivery: Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to translate business needs into technical designs, write unit tests, and support system upgrades.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Platform Engineering: 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development, platform architecture, and custom configuration.
• Scripting & APIs: 3 years in JavaScript (client-side and server-side) and 2 years designing secure API integrations (REST, SOAP, OAuth 2.0, JSON, XML).
• ITSM, Workflows & CMDB: 2 years managing ITSM processes, CMDB reference relationships, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and IntegrationHub.
• Portal & UX Design: 2 years designing accessible solutions on Employee Center, Service Portal, and UI Builder workspaces.
• ServiceNow AI & Automation: 2 years of experience with ServiceNow AI solutions (Now Assist, Generative AI, Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent, or AI Search).
• Certifications & Delivery: 2 years applying automated testing, source control, and release management; certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM, or ITIL.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to other ServiceNow modules (ITOM, CSM, HRSD, IRM/GRC, App Engine).
• Experience with DevOps practices and automated deployment pipelines in an Agile environment.
