Job summary

The State Corporation Commission in Virginia seeks a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable solutions across the ServiceNow platform, with emphasis on secure API integrations and ITSM.

You will develop scripted REST APIs, business rules, and UI policies, extend ITSM modules (Incident, Change, Service Catalog, CMDB), and create intuitive experiences across Employee Center, Service Portal, and mobile.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of ServiceNow development and configuration experience.
• Strong JavaScript scripting (client/server) experience.
• Experience with API integration design and security.
• Familiarity with CMDB, ITSM modules.
• Ability to design user-centered experiences across Service Portal and Employee Center.
• Experience with AI/automation features in ServiceNow is a plus.

The State Corporation Commission (SCC) is seeking a ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable solutions across the ServiceNow platform. The role emphasizes secure API integrations, custom development, intuitive user experiences, and IT Service Management (ITSM), with additional ServiceNow domain and artificial intelligence experience valued.

Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements
• Build secure, reliable integrations using REST, SOAP, webhooks, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and related technologies
• Develop scripted REST APIs, business rules, script includes, client scripts, UI policies, and Flow Designer workflows
• Configure and extend ITSM capabilities, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge, Service Catalog, and CMDB
• Create intuitive, accessible experiences across Employee Center, Service Portal, workspaces, forms, catalogs, and mobile
• Partner with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and support teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Troubleshoot complex platform, integration, data, and performance issues
• Apply development standards, security controls, automated testing, code review, source control, and release-management practices
• Develop reusable components and documentation; support upgrades and releases; and evaluate AI and automation opportunities
