Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in configuration management or CMDB administration.
• Hands-on experience with CMDB platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the configuration management system, CMDB data model, class structures, and relationship mappings.
• Establish and enforce configuration management policies, procedures, and naming conventions per ITIL and standards.
• Integrate configuration data with change, incident, and problem workflows for impact analysis and risk assessment.
• Conduct regular configuration audits, reconciliations, and baseline reviews to ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with platform admins to implement CMDB in tools like ServiceNow, including discovery and service mapping.
• Produce configuration reports and visualizations to support capacity planning and compliance.
• Coordinate with other ITIL processes to ensure data accuracy throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead or contribute to CMDB implementation and remediation across hybrid environments.
