Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 8+ years in configuration management, CMDB, or ITSM in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with ServiceNow or BMC Remedy.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project-management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the CMDB data model, class structures, and relationship mappings for infrastructure and application configuration items.
• Establish and enforce CM policies, procedures, and naming conventions aligned to ITIL and enterprise standards.
• Integrate CMDB data with change, incident, and problem workflows for accurate impact analysis and dependency mapping.
• Conduct regular CMDB audits and remediation activities with owning teams.
• Work with platform admins to implement and optimize CMDB capabilities in ServiceNow, including discovery and service mapping.
• Produce configuration reports and visualizations to support capacity planning, risk assessments, architecture reviews, and compliance in regulated environments.
• Coordinate with ITIL processes to keep CM data accurate across lifecycle.
• Lead or contribute to CMDB implementation and remediation across hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
