Job summary

Company Wrench Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Service Writer to be the main point of contact for service customers. You will manage work orders from intake to completion within a five-day window, coordinate with the shop and parts department, and help prepare quotes for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; experience as a service writer or mechanic preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with computer systems and service databases is expected for daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and acts as liaison between service and customers.
• Opens and documents customer work orders with symptoms, concerns, and repairs.
• Assists with estimates by gathering parts quotes and labor data.
• Coordinates with parts department to order needed parts when a work order opens.
• Follows up on stalled work orders to ensure timely close within standard targets.
• Ensures warranty standards are met and notes are correctly transferred to invoices.
