Heavy Duty Service Writer

We're looking for a reliable Heavy Duty Service Writer to join our team. If you're organized, detail-oriented, and enjoy keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced shop environment, we'd love to hear from you. This role is all about making sure our service operations stay on track and our technicians have what we need to get the job done.

Responsibilities

As our Heavy Duty Service Writer, you'll be the backbone of our service department. You'll handle entering pre-trip inspection data and maintaining accurate inventory records. Managing parts orders will be a key part of your day, making sure we always have what we need when we need it. You'll be responsible for entering all relevant information into our computer system with accuracy and attention to detail. Keeping your work area clean and organized is important too ? we believe a tidy workspace makes for better productivity and a safer environment for everyone.

Requirements

You should have experience working in a transportation and heavy-duty repair environment. Strong computer skills are a must since you'll be working with our management system daily. We need someone who can juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball and who communicates clearly with both technicians and management. Attention to detail is critical ? one wrong part number or missed entry can slow down the whole operation. You should be comfortable working in a shop environment and be able to stay organized even when things get hectic. Previous experience as a service writer or in parts management is definitely a plus.
