Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Service Writer to deliver quality customer service in person, over the phone, or via email. You will quote services, update customers, and ensure final pricing is communicated when work is completed.

The role involves maintaining job files, timekeeping, preparing repair orders, and collaborating with service management and technicians to keep parts stocked and operations efficient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates or Bachelor's degree a plus.
• Prefer 5+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Self-starter with excellent customer service.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete job files and approvals for prompt payments.
• Timekeeping for technicians and payroll bi-weekly.
• Create repair orders with customer concerns and unit info.
• Prepare repair orders review for service manager; finalize invoicing and filing.
• Maintain job files with all pertinent correspondence.
• Daily yard checks and logs; update the customer accordingly.
• Update daily KPI indicators posted in the shop.
• Interact with service management team and technicians.
• Ensure fabrication materials are stocked and available.
• Allocate and pull parts for repair orders.
• Research and order parts to job specs.
• Pickup parts as needed.
