Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings and grounds meet safety and quality standards. Responsibilities include completing work orders, making-ready inspections, inventory tracking, and upkeep of amenities. A focus on cost efficiency and contractor oversight is essential.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant handling certifications (Type 1 & II or Universal)
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable
• Certifications as required by state and local jurisdictions are required

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance on the property per policies and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process for vacant apartment homes including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Tracks inventory and notifies supervisor on re-ordering needs.
• Delivers timely documentation and paperwork for service requests.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible; uses tools properly.
• Inspects work performed by contractors to ensure quality and scope compliance.
• Conducts routine property inspections to identify safety and risk concerns.
