Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. The role includes completing work orders, making-ready vacant units, inventory control, and maintaining outdoor spaces.

The position requires EPA refrigerant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with routine and preventive maintenance on building systems.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and inspections.
• Comfort with using tools and equipment safely on-site.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant apartments, including inspections and scheduling work.
• Track inventory and return items to proper locations; notify supervisor for re-orders.
• Document service requests accurately and timely.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities as needed (cleaning, painting, debris removal).
• Assist in cost control by repairing instead of replacing when feasible.
