Job summary

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is seeking a Service Manager to lead the service team, coordinate maintenance, and ensure exceptional customer experiences from start to finish.

You will support technicians, work with dispatch, manage daily operations, and help drive growth while upholding our core values of integrity, ownership, and service. This role requires leadership, strong communication, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving within the HVAC and plumbing service context.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and maneuver equipment up to 75 lbs.
• Must be able to crawl, climb, kneel, squat, bend and reach overhead.
• Must be able to climb and work on ladders.
• Must be able to use hand and power tools.
• High school diploma or GED are required.
• 3+ years management experience.
• A working knowledge of plumbing and HVAC are required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Strong supervisory experience, communication and computer skills are required.
• Ability to work after regular business hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops the service staff, including hiring, termination, and discipline, scheduling, evaluating performance, and directing work assignments.
• Coordinates maintenance, service, and indoor air quality departments to improve operational efficiency; uses reports to monitor field performance.
• Resolves customer issues and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Collaborates with the general manager on budgeting and cost control.
• Generates reports and tracks inventory, tools, and vehicles.
