Job summary

DoorDash Labs in the Greater PHX Area is seeking a seasoned Service Operations leader for the PM shift. You will guide a mix of experienced and new technicians to maximize uptime of fleet assets and support our utilization goals.

You’ll report to the Operations Manager, Service and collaborate with Service Engineering on tooling needs and field deployments. You may flex your schedule to overlap with the AM shift for handoffs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in service operations, field service, or technical operations.
• 2+ years leading service technicians or field teams.
• Strong experience with work order systems and operational KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, throughput, SLA).
• Comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and driving results through others.
• Experience scaling operations, launching new markets, or infrastructure buildouts.
• Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, electric vehicles, aircraft, or similar complex systems (preferred).
• Mobile/field service background (preferred).
• Familiarity with service platforms like MaintainX, JIRA, or similar (preferred).
• Exposure to diagnostics, APIs, scripting, Python, GitHub (nice to have).
• Believe in 1% improvement every day.
• Valid U.S. drivers license and MVR successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the PM-shift team of technicians to maximize uptime of assets.
• Work with Service Engineering on tooling/jig needs for field deployments.
• Track technician productivity and manage shift handoffs to ensure uptime.
• Ensure adherence to Service SOPs, including Work Order and Parts flow at local level.
• Coordinate development of Service Technicians in career paths within DoorDash Labs.
• Track KPIs and explain variances; manage shift-owned vs. shared metrics.
• Own shift handoff with the AM Manager, flag open work orders, escalations, and parts status.
