Job summary

Vertiv Co seeks an experienced Field Service Supervisor to oversee technicians in a defined service center area and conduct regular fieldwork. You will support a territory of service center engineers and lead multiple projects involving data center cooling systems.

Applicants should have HVAC expertise, strong supervisory and communication skills, and the ability to develop tests, estimates and client-facing reports. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of HVAC technical school, apprenticeship or military equivalent (or 10+ years related work).
• Working knowledge of refrigeration, electrical systems and HVAC expertise.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and hydronic diagrams.
• Strong safety procedure knowledge (OSHA/NFPA).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train field service engineers and technicians in the area.
• Perform complex troubleshooting and testing on cooling and temperature control systems.
• Lead projects including installation support, commissioning and surveys.
• Develop tests/inspections for new field service areas.
• Prepare estimates, proposals, schedules, reports and manpower plans.
• Write detailed project reports and process job billing promptly.
• Engage with clients and support business development activities.
