Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown is seeking a Service Advisor to manage the Drive Lane and deliver outstanding customer service. You will coordinate service appointments, communicate with customers, and assist the Service Manager with strategy and reporting in a fast-paced dealership environment.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, high customer satisfaction, and thorough vehicle inspections, with opportunities for growth within Competition Automotive Group.

Qualifications

• Service Advisor experience is required.
• Strong consultative sales background preferred.
• Excellent communication with customers in person, email, text, and phone.
• Clean driving record.
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to work independently and with others.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the flow of the Drive Lane; ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Report to the Service Manager and assist in strategy and reporting.
• Maintain high Net Promoter Score by owning the customer experience.
• Provide concierge support for owner inquiries via phone, email, or in person.
• Schedule service appointments and create return visits after service.
• Ensure daily technician time is sold to service customers.
• Generate clear work orders that reflect customer concerns and warranty standards.
• Perform complete walk-around vehicle inspections.
• Communicate daily with customers on status and costs of repairs.
• Convey value to customers during the delivery process.
• Use tools to ensure top performance.
• Generate loaner/rental agreements and document properly.
