Mercedes-Benz of Smithtown, part of Competition Automotive Group, seeks a Service Advisor to manage drive-lane flow and deliver outstanding customer service in St. James, NY.

You will report to the Service Manager and contribute to strategy, while maintaining strong customer relationships and satisfaction throughout the service experience. The ideal candidate has prior Service Advisor experience, strong communication skills, and a customer-first mindset, with a willingness to handle inquiries

Qualifications

• Service Advisor experience is required.
• Strong consultative sales background preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with customers in person, email, text and phone.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the flow of the Drive Lane and ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Report to the Service Manager and assist in strategy and reporting.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction and ownership of the customer experience.
• Provide concierge support for owner inquiries to ensure satisfaction.
• Schedule service appointments and manage return visits.
• Ensure technicians’ time is effectively sold to service customers.
• Generate accurate work orders conveying customer concerns and warranty standards.
• Perform complete vehicle walk-around inspections and update customers daily on status and costs.
• Communicate value at service delivery and protect dealership liability.
