Atlantic Auto Group in Long Island seeks a motivated Service Advisor to join our service team. You will provide exceptional customer service, explain repair options, and support sales by recommending services that meet client needs.

Responsibilities include interpreting symptoms, preparing estimates, scheduling service, verifying warranties, and ensuring accurate documentation, while maintaining a professional image and strong CSI scores in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Qualifications

• Must understand the sales process for advising service customers on car repair and maintenance.
• Proficient with Reynolds & Reynolds or ADP and modern automotive software.
• Highly organized with strong communication skills.
• Professional appearance and dependable attendance.
• Valid NY driver's license and clean record.
• Able to pass drug test and background check.
• Outgoing personality with ability to build relationships and achieve CSI scores.

Responsibilities

• Interprets the customer's description of symptoms.
• Clarifies problems for the mechanic so proper repair can be performed.
• Translates technical terms into customer-friendly language.
• Schedules service and verifies warranty/contract coverage.
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, including deductibles.
• Prepares repair orders and schedules service by phone or in person.
• Arranges service or repair and sets cost and completion expectations.
• Makes repair recommendations and manages delivery of repairs.
• Ensures documentation is complete and complies with safety regulations and standards.
• Attends staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Greets customers entering the service area with a professional demeanor.
• Verifies customer appointments and relevant information (name, VIN, mileage, etc.).
• Performs other duties as assigned
