Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Hanover, part of Group 1 Automotive, is seeking a qualified Service Advisor to join our team. You will greet customers, listen to their concerns, present maintenance options, and provide accurate repair estimates.

The role requires at least 1 year of dealership experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with service managers. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year dealership experience.
• Provide estimates for labor and parts.
• Establish/determine customers method of payment.
• Obtain customers signature on PO.
• Continuous communication on jobs throughout the day.
• Coordinate with manufacturer and/or extended warranty companies for approval in advance of repairs.
• Be knowledgeable of products and services.
• Meet or exceed sales quotas set by management.
• Test drive vehicles when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Promptly meet and greet service customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Listen to customer’s reasons for bringing in their vehicle to the service department.
• Offer logical diagnostic services or repairs to satisfy customers concerns.
• Provide accurate estimates for all the services or repairs recommended.
• Handle minor customer complaints with courtesy and tact.
• Turn over to service manager for unresolved issues.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and satisfy inquiries.
• Monitor repair progress and communicate changes to customers.
• Sell the proper repairs and/or services aligned with customer needs.
• Present a service menu of recommended maintenance services.
• Document repair orders accurately and legibly.
• Maintain shop workload communications to optimize capacity.
