Job summary

University of Nebraska is seeking an IT support professional to assist the University community with hardware and software support, documentation, and training. This role collaborates with ITS teams to deploy new technologies and improve processes at the Lincoln campus.

The candidate will provide end-user support, manage inventory, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, with an emphasis on teamwork, integrity, and exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Two years post-secondary coursework or equivalent
• 3 years experience with desktop and/or helpdesk support
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and/or Apple macOS
• Experience with direct customer support

Responsibilities

• Assist University community and partners with hardware and software support and training
• Participate in deployment of new technologies and documentation of processes
• Track inventory and work with stakeholders to support supported technology
• Serve as a knowledge resource for other client services team members and coordinate with ITS specialists
