Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Risk Management and Insurance or related field.
• Professional designation is preferred (AU/CPCU/CIC/ARM or similar).
• Minimum 13 years of underwriting or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business per guidelines.
• Develops risk models to inform coverage, pricing, and terms.
• Fosters partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers and clients.
• Ensures proper documentation and compliance with regulations.
• Evaluates complex renewals and supports risk mitigation initiatives.
• Communicates strategies to internal teams and brokers.
• Maintains relationships to generate and retain profitable business.
• May coach staff and participate in talent decisions.
