Job summary

SCI Summit Consulting, LLC is seeking an experienced Underwriter to lead the evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk appetite. You will develop risk assessment models and partner with actuaries, agents, and clients.

This remote role covers states nationwide, requires 13+ years of underwriting experience and a Bachelor's degree. Occasional travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 13 years of underwriting experience or related field.
• Professional designation (AU, CPCU, CIC, INS, ARM) preferred or in progress.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead evaluation and underwriting of new and renewal business in line with guidelines.
• Develop and implement risk assessment models for coverage, pricing and terms.
• Foster partnerships with actuaries, agents, brokers and clients for information and guidance.
• Procure and analyze motor vehicle, loss history and external reports to support decisions.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations.
