Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst to lead the design, configuration, and support of Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada.

This role partners with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and IT to translate complex payroll requirements into scalable Workday configurations and continuous improvement initiatives. You will lead testing for Workday releases, collaborate with stakeholders across locations, and ensure compliance and operational efficiency in a multi-state and multi-country

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; five+ years HRIS with Workday Payroll configuration experience.
• Five+ years supporting multi-state or multi-country payroll operations; Workday Payroll Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Workday Payroll HRIS SME for U.S. and Canada payroll operations; design, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Payroll functionality.
• Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, IT, and other stakeholders to analyze requirements and design scalable Workday solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex payroll system issues and implement sustainable solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead Workday testing activities for system enhancements, semi-annual releases, and regulatory changes; develop test scenarios and validate functionality before deployment.
• Support payroll-related configuration across Workday modules (Benefits, Compensation, Absence, reporting); modify reports as needed.
• Evaluate Workday functionality and industry best practices to recommend enhancements and automation opportunities.
