Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst to design, configure, and support Workday Payroll for US and Canada. You will partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and IT to translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations and improvements.

The role requires strong Workday Payroll expertise, attention to compliance, and ability to drive best practices across a complex payroll environment. This is a full-time, on-site position in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• 5+ years of HRIS experience with hands-on Workday Payroll configuration.
• 5+ years supporting large, multi-state and/or multi-country payroll operations; Workday Certification preferred.
• Workday Payroll Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Workday Payroll HRIS SME for US/Canada payroll operations; configure and optimize payroll functionality.
• Partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, IT and stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday solutions.
• Analyze complex payroll needs, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable improvements.
• Lead Workday testing for releases, updates, and new functionality; develop test scenarios and validate production readiness.
• Support payroll-related configuration across Workday modules (Benefits, Absence, reporting, etc.).
• Evaluate Workday functionality and industry best practices to drive enhancements and automation.
