Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst to lead the design, configuration, and ongoing support of Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada.

You will partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Time Tracking, IT, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations. The role requires strong Workday Payroll expertise, deep payroll process knowledge, and the ability to drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance across locations and countries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required.
• Five (5)+ years HRIS experience with hands-on Workday Payroll configuration in complex environments.
• Five (5)+ years supporting large, multi-state and/or multi-country payroll operations.
• Workday Payroll Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and optimize Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada payroll operations.
• Partner with Payroll and cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design scalable Workday solutions.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex payroll system issues and implement sustainable fixes.
• Lead Workday testing activities for releases, updates, and regulatory changes; document results and ensure production readiness.
• Support payroll-related configuration across Workday modules and create/modify reports as needed.
• EvaluateWorkday functionality and best practices to recommend enhancements and automation.
