Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst to design, configure, and support Workday Payroll for U.S. and Canada.

This role partners with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and IT to translate business needs into scalable Workday configurations and continuous improvements. The ideal candidate has deep Workday Payroll expertise, strong analytical skills, and a track record of implementing efficient payroll solutions across multi-state or multi-country environments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years HRIS with hands-on Workday Payroll configuration experience.
  • 5+ years supporting large, multi-state and/or multi-country payroll operations. Workday Payroll Certification preferred.
  • Workday Payroll Certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary Workday Payroll HRIS SME for US/Canada payroll operations, managing design, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Workday Payroll functionality.
  • Collaborate with Payroll leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and design scalable Workday solutions across locations and country-specific needs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex payroll issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead Workday testing activities for system enhancements, releases, updates, and regulatory changes; review notes and validate functionality in test tenants.
  • Support payroll-related configuration and processes across Workday modules including Benefits, Compensation, Absence; modify reports as needed.
  • Evaluate Workday functionality and industry best practices to proactively recommend enhancements and automation opportunities.
