Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Payroll HRIS Analyst to lead Workday Payroll configuration for U.S. and Canada.

You will partner with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, and IT to translate complex payroll requirements into scalable Workday solutions that meet regulatory and operational needs across multiple states and countries. The role requires deep Workday Payroll expertise, strong problem-solving, and a proven ability to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyze complex payroll needs and translate to Workday configuration.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processes including tax, benefits, and absence impacts.
• Experience partnering with Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, Time Tracking, IT and other stakeholders.
• Experience leading testing, releases, and production readiness in Workday.
• Workday Payroll Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Workday Payroll HRIS SME for U.S. and Canada payroll operations.
• Design, configure, maintain, and optimize Workday Payroll functionality.
• Analyze business requirements and design scalable Workday solutions across locations and country rules.
• Lead Workday testing activities for releases, regulatory changes, and integrations.
• Troubleshoot complex payroll system issues and implement sustainable fixes.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
