Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an HRIS Consultant to act as the functional architect and implementation lead for Workday and its connected HR technology ecosystem, with a primary focus on Workday HCM, security, and data structures.

The role leads enterprise HR technology implementations, coordinates partners and internal stakeholders, and mentors HRIS analysts while establishing standards across Workday, UKG, Salesforce, and related platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HRIS/enterprise HCM experience, with Workday HCM exposure.
• 5+ years hands-on Workday HCM configuration, security, and data design.
• Experience leading at least one full-cycle Workday implementation or major deployment.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into functional designs and configuration specs.
• Experience mentoring HRIS analysts and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise HR technology implementations from design through go-live and hyper care, coordinating vendors, partners, IT, and HRIS resources.
• Serve as the functional architect for the HR tech ecosystem, defining scalable designs, data flows, and system-of-record ownership across Workday, UKG, Salesforce, and others.
• Provide hands-on Workday configuration support for complex solutions and critical milestones.
• Define requirements, solution designs, and acceptance criteria for technical and functional teams.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Security, Legal, and compliance to balance user experience with risk and sustainability.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year HR technology roadmap aligned to business strategy.
