Job summary

Southern New Hampshire University seeks a Senior Business Systems Analyst for Workday Adaptive Planning to own budgeting, forecasting and reporting across Finance and HR. You will translate complex requirements into scalable Adaptive models, dashboards, and planning solutions that balance flexibility with controls.

You will collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and stakeholders, develop training materials, maintain documentation, and drive integrations with Workday modules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in admin/developer/model builder or analyst roles, with ≥3 years on Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting/Business or related field.
• Proven ability to develop Adaptive Planning reports, dashboards, and management reporting solutions.
• Experience with Adaptive OfficeConnect for management reporting packages.
• Strong knowledge of Adaptive Planning dimensions, accounts, levels, versions, sheets, assumptions, formulas, calculations, business rules, and model structures.
• Experience creating in/out bound integrations between Workday Financial Management, Workday HCM, and Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and variance analysis.

Responsibilities

• Be the primary Workday Adaptive Planning administrator and subject matter expert; handle day-to-day administration, configuration, maintenance and optimization of the platform.
• Own and maintain Adaptive Planning structures, including models, dimensions, accounts, levels, versions, sheets, assumptions, formulas, and security.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Adaptive configurations—models, calculations, workflows, and reporting—to support budgeting, forecasting, reporting and workforce planning.
• Manage user access, roles, permissions and security while enforcing data governance and maintaining system performance and data integrity.
• Create and maintain technical docs, training materials, user guides, and knowledge-transfer sessions for effective adoption.
• Design and build Adaptive Planning models and planning solutions balancing flexibility, controls and long-term maintainability.
• Partner with Finance to define reporting requirements and translate them into Adaptive reports, dashboards, and planning solutions.
• Collaborate with HR to develop workforce planning models and reports within Adaptive Planning.
• Develop, monitor, reconcile and troubleshoot integrations and data flows between Workday modules.
• Coordinate with IT and other teams on APIs, data architecture and technical issues.
• Facilitate discussions with stakeholders to understand needs and evaluate solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
