Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Women’s Technical Outerwear Designer with 7+ years of experience in performance, outdoor and technical apparel.

The role focuses on translating concepts into technically sound jackets with strong construction, fit, and cost engineering. You will work with production teams and overseas partners to optimize costs while maintaining design integrity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on women’s outerwear design experience.
• Strong jacket engineering, construction and fit knowledge.
• Experience with performance and technical fabrics.
• Ability to translate design concepts into technically sound products.
• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools and workflow optimization.
• Ability to collaborate with production and overseas factories.
• Commercial awareness and trend research capabilities.
• Portfolio demonstrating technical construction and finished products.

Responsabilités

• Own the creative direction and development of women’s technical and performance outerwear categories.
• Produce technical drawings, detailed tech packs and garment construction details.
• Select and apply appropriate outerwear materials, insulation systems and trims.
• Develop silhouettes balancing women’s fit with technical performance.
• Monitor the marketplace through trend, consumer and competitive research.
• Work with Production teams and overseas manufacturing partners to evaluate costing and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Find cost efficiencies while maintaining quality and design intent.
• Incorporate AI-powered technology into the design and development process.
• Research and evaluate new AI design technologies to improve the process.
• Maintain ongoing communication with Merchandising, Production and overseas factories throughout the lifecycle.
